My friend took these photos in August at the Hobbiton location, where our friends got married. I think theirs was the first wedding (or one of the first) to be held there since the set was made permanent. They had perfect weather and my friend snapped these while the bride and groom had their official photos taken :)

really, really, REALLY liked this tour of the shire.
I think, for the very first time, after all this time, with the distant vistas, the niches and cranies, the richness of the greenery, the water shots, the signs and just the overall wonderful perspective that your friend achieved, brought the 'realness' of it all to life, creating for me a very real longing and love for Middle-earth like i never had.

What a backdrop for a wedding - and how beautiful that area is!
All those "hobbit holes" seem like little cottages dotting the hillsides. The place has a magical feel to it! Please thank your friend for sharing the pics!
