PJ's "Forgotten Silver" comes out on BluRay! Can't Post

I think this news is worth some attention. For the first time ever, Peter Jackson's famous mockumentary "Forgotten Silver" will come out on BluRay on December 7th, just before the "Hobbit" premiere, in Germany.
The BluRay will feature a new director-approved video transfer in 1.66:1 widescreen, English 2.0 audio and German subtitles. The bonus features are identical to the previous DVD releases: the "Behind the Bull" documentary and a director's audio commentary by co-director Costa Botes. Got the info directly from the label representative at a German BluRay forum.

As far as I know this is the world's first (and so far, only) release of this PJ classic. Available from Amazon.de for 11.99 EUR.

What???? [In reply to] Can't Post

What do you mean, 'mockumentary'? You mean it's not true? Laugh
I'm still recovering from the trauma of the original screening on NZ TV. Crazy

Well... [In reply to] Can't Post

I spoke to Thomas Robins (Colin McKenzie/Deagol) about it, he was astonished that someone remembers it. :)

It's such a hoot! [In reply to] Can't Post

I've got the DVD of it, found it on "clearance price" at a bookstore a few years back.

The head of "John the Baptist" on the silver splatter platter is sheer Jackson. A classic.

I missed the original screening. [In reply to] Can't Post

I caught the rerun a week later after NZ had exploded with indignity at being fooled. Laugh

Celebrimbor: "Pretty rings..."
Dwarves: "Pretty rings..."
Men: "Pretty rings..."
Sauron: "Mine's better."

"Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Sauronís master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded beggar with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak.

You must be joking [In reply to] Can't Post

It made a huge impression on people I knew. I have vivid memories of watching it. And I recognised 'Colin McKenzie' in LOTR instantly!
Forgotten Silver cut a swathe across the NZ psyche. Laugh
