I had a dream.... Can't Post

Last night I had a dream where I went onto TORN message boards to get my daily dose of hobbit, when up popped a new thread where someone posted a link to a news article. In this article, it described how PJ gave names to each of the stone giants and that the largest was an ancient king of the stone giants whose name is mentioned by Gandalf and it began with a K...(can't remember). There were stone giant women and children too. Needless to say when I woke up this morning, I got on here immediately to see whether this was true or not. Sooooooooo glad it was just a dream Smile Anyone have somewhat similar experiences?

"'Ai! ai!' wailed Legolas. 'A Balrog! A Balrog is come!'
Gimli stared with wide eyes. 'Durin's Bane!' he cried, and letting his axe fall he covered his face.
'A Balrog,' muttered Gandalf. 'Now I understand. What an evil fortune! And I am already weary.''

I had one the other night [In reply to] Can't Post

And it was so weird I remember it vividly even now.

It was The Hobbit story, but not the one we know today. It involved Bilbo finding the Ring, but there were no Dwarves. Instead there was Niniel, who was a ghost, and she appeared in the story every so often. And instead of turning the wearer invisible, the Ring allowed one to travel in time.

Bilbo decided to go into the future, and ended up in the Scouring of the Shire. The last I remember of the dream, is me watching the film in tears, thinking it was amazing ...

I wonder what that dream says about me.

I've had LotR dreams now and then [In reply to] Can't Post

A few years ago I compiled them link.

But my most moving one, I think happened after that thread. It involved a bomb where a lot of people were burned to ashes. Then Arwen came and gathered up the ashes, and somehow brought all those people back to life. It was back when my mom was dying, so maybe it had something to do with that.

"For DORA BAGGINS in memory of a LONG correspondence, with love from Bilbo; on a large wastebasket. Dora was Drogo's sister, and the eldest surviving female relative of Bilbo and Frodo; she was ninety-nine, and had written reams of good advice for more than half a century."
