Yep, I thought it might be "Thorin's theme" in some way..

...rather regal yet sad in a way... Seems we don't get anymore of Thorin and the Dwarves singing "Far over the Misty Mountins" than we've already heard, other than RA opening the whole track by humming the tune over first... "An Unexpected Adventure" reminds me of William's Harry Potter - was it "Diagon Alley?" with all that frenetic excitement and wonder...

Was I the only one who noticed this? It's very reminiscent. Wonder to what purpose?

Thanks for finding a solution.
I have tried it with couple of proxies and VPNs from US and UK both but no luck yet. It must be region blocked but I can't seem to find a way now. Strange. edit: Forget what I have said. It's not region blocked, I live in Turkey and it's fine now. Refresh this page http://www.decca.com/hosting/hobbit/ a couple of times. By the way, I'm in Germany.

This requires a little bit of technical nous, but not too much. These things usually run on plugins, so I figured it was either down to Adobe Flash ... or Sun Java. I think it's actually the former. So ensure you have the latest and greatest version Flash (it's good security anyway!) and then restart your browser. You can check and update here: https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ Wishing you all the best of luck. (OST sounds terrific btw!)

starts with some fun, sneaky music that presumably accompanies Bilbo's spying on the trolls (I quite like this part). Then a brassy, aggressive rendition of the Lonely Mountain theme that must mean the dwarves are fighting back.

It seems every time there's some fight action, we are going to get a reprise of the "Misty Mountain" tune as a fanfare, rather like the "Fellowship" theme!

incongruously starts with a bit of what I think of as the Frodo and Sam theme (but which probably is really something else)--the one that plays after Frodo pulls Sam into the boat. Then some of Radagast's theme. And then it's Mordor. Clearly some action here; not just spying.

All my fears of a limp, Frodo-heavy opening are put to rest. So glad there's a prologue. Must... resist... listening to the whole thing.

Is it me or this does sound more to do with the Dwarves and Moria (very possibly referring to the Balrog?) rather than Necromancer/Nazgul? Sure there's hints of Isengard, but that could be something of a generic Orc theme (Azog?). There's even some of what appears to be 'Thorin's Theme' in there. Perhaps he's telling some more history to Bilbo and the others round a campfire?

The 60 second previews were incredible...but not even remotely able to tease the sheer awesome in this score. Wow. Any fears I may have had about these films and the score are completely laid to rest.

The widget doesn't let you go back so I can't double-check, but I think I may have been conflating the Isengard and Mordor themes in my mind now that you mention it, so you may be right. I'm listening to The Defiler right now, and it definitely sounds like Isengard. Or what I think is Isengard. I'm unsure now...

I've always loved the Rivendell theme, and this is reprised and developed in "The Hidden Valley"...it's so descriptive one can almost visualize Bilbo creeping up the stairs to the gallery where the shards of Narsil are kept...likewise the "Moon Runes" is an evocative track with a beautiful line for the cor anglais(?) "The White Council" contains, unsurprisingly, a reprise of the Lothlorien theme, presumably for Galadriel, though the more ominous undercurrents build throughout the long track.
