I also liked that scene, and still do [In reply to] Can't Post

But there's something more interesting (and appropriate, for the genre) about getting stuck in the mouth of a space slug that lives in a cave on an asteroid, than accidentally walking on top of a stone giant. A story like the Hobbit is served better by keeping things like stone giants off in the distance, IMO.

Another question about dialogue [In reply to] Can't Post

What does Balin say at the end, right before Bilbo faints?

Nope [In reply to] Can't Post

Its looking like the Stone Giant sequence will be like the stairs of Kazad-Dum on steroids. This time, not only are they on a high rocky ledge, and in danger of falling to their deaths, now they are on a high rocky ledge THAT WALKS, and in danger of falling to their deaths.

Stone Giants scene. [In reply to] Can't Post

Is going to be more intense than the book.Wink

We are more connected than ever before, more able to spread our ideas and beliefs, our anger and fears. As we exercise the right to advocate our views, and as we animate our supporters, we must all assume responsibility for our words and actions before they enter a vast echo chamber and reach those both serious and delirious, connected and unhinged.

Probably the worst tv spot of the lot so far [In reply to] Can't Post

Dialogue was jarring and when Bilbo spoke it didnt even sync with his lips (at least on my laptop). Nothing new in it either, just a generic rehash of material which has been seen about 4 times now.

I do apologise! [In reply to] Can't Post

I didnt realise there were so many little changes.

For me it just felt exactly the same as we have seen those scenes before just from a ever so slightly different point of view.

By different i would be meaning - show us some dol guldur or i dunno anything new, lol.

To me it looks the same near enough but thanks to Carne and yourself i realise i was being slow and need to get the sleep out of my eyes (at 4pm) haha. Thanks for letting me know where the changes are.

TV spots are traditionally cut down trailers [In reply to] Can't Post

Now, if they gave us a full length trailer, I'd want plenty of new footage!
