What do you think of Gothmog S.A? [In reply to] Can't Post

Wink

We are more connected than ever before, more able to spread our ideas and beliefs, our anger and fears. As we exercise the right to advocate our views, and as we animate our supporters, we must all assume responsibility for our words and actions before they enter a vast echo chamber and reach those both serious and delirious, connected and unhinged.

Yes, that part stood out for me too... [In reply to] Can't Post

And, did it seem to anyone else that the later scene of him dodging the piece of wall was an attempt to add a little
hypocrisy-cowardice to the character? I can just imagine him thinking "Ha, there's no way that will hit me" Then, when he realizes he's about to die, he conveniently sidesteps and proceeds to spit on it. I remember thinking from the first time I saw the movie, "Hey--didn't he just say nobody move?"

I meant [In reply to] Can't Post

that he was bragging to his orcs. For the next few hours they would be saying stuff like: "Didja see da bawss avoid dat rok? 'Twas awesome how 'e moved so fast! Den 'e jus' spit on it!"

^In orc-talk, roughly.

They are so fantastic.

I always found this chap memorable: http://www.framecaplib.com/...es/fotr/fotr1167.jpg

And I really liked how this orc's eyes are just black, not any weird colour (which I found kind of jarring): http://www.framecaplib.com/...es/rotk/rotk2000.jpg

'But I should like to know---' Pippin began.
'Mercy!' cried Gandalf. 'If the giving of information is to be the cure of you inquisitiveness, I shall spend the rest of my days in answering you. What more do you want to know?'
'The names of all the stars, and of all living things, and the whole history of Middle-earth and Over-heaven and of the Sundering Seas,' laughed Pippin. 'Of course! What less?'

The darth maul Orc, as he has been deemed. He is the one in the battle of minas tirith who just bites a gondorian soldier.

In the Battle at Minas Tirith [In reply to] Can't Post

When the siege towers of the orc army drops ramps onto the walls of the city and orcs start flooding in, in the extended version it shows the orcs coming out of a tower and into Minas Tirith. In one shot from the side of the siege tower, there is an orc that just falls off the ramp. He wasn't shot or anything; I guess he just got pushed off. That part always makes me laugh for some reason. :D

The CATAPULT Orc cracks me right up! [In reply to] Can't Post

He's the first one I think of... but I also love the chicken-chattering Orc during the battle at Osgiliath and the MWAAAAAHHHHH Cirith Ungol Orc that gives a shout out when those pilfering Frodo's stuff start a fight and the one falls through the trap door and knock those below around.

I also love the no-nose Orc Commander that spots Frodo and Sam in costume hiding amongst the Orc Army in Mordor.

Gothmog is my least favourite.

sample

I really need these new films to take me back to, and not re-introduce me to, that magical world.
