The obligatory Denny's poll.

Since the announcement of Denny's pairing up with The Hobbit, I have seen mixed reactions to said announcement. Most are based on personal experience at Denny's restaurants, as was mine. Will you go to Denny's for a delicious Hobbit meal?

Well, if they're not even giving out toy dirt, I'm not going.

The Denny's restaurants I've been in have had plenty of dirt to spare.

you won't receive some complimentary dirt with your dining experience. It's just not going to be included in the Denny's Crappy Meal.

The manager and waitstaff like to joke around with the customers, and I've never gotten a bad meal at this particular one. And it's right on the access road to the mall which has our favorite stadium-seating movie theater...so we've had plenty of meals there, both before and after movies. Mmm, "second" breakfast before the Hobbit...

I had to put I needed some soul searching for this one. I have no grave objections to Denny's as a chain. Some of the links, however, are weaker than others. Ours is a weak link. If grease is you thing, it is the place. We have eaten in Denny's that were clean and the food quite good. So, I don't know yet if we will go just to get some trading cards and a tummy ache!

As with Burger King, I have eaten there before. I don't go there often and will not be making special trips just for this but I won't avoid it should there be a reason to go. It seems that the quality varies quite a bit from place to place. Around here, it's a step up from fast food but not a destination restaurant. So I guess my vote is "none of the above"

I tend to think any movie tie-in to a restaurant is ridiculous, IMO.

But I guess it's just another way to promote the movie. Or is it to promote the restaurant? Who can tell?

is that the lights fell into my friend's daughter's fried eggs during an earthquake, so I am possibly unqualified to vote in the poll.

that no matter how many possible answers one tries to cover, there is inevitably something that is overlooked and ends up in the "none of the above" category. I should have added that selection. Out of curiousity, I will go and try one of these meals. I hope to be pleasantly surprised. Previous experience suggests otherwise, but I will keep an open mind.

they never got to eat them (with or without lighting garnish) as they had to evacuate.

I eat one breakfast at a Denny's when on a long road trip. It's a ritual. Otherwise I pass them by. We don't even have one here, so it's a moot point anyway.

not many places (other than McDonald's) can mess up bacon and eggs. I will NOT have other than breakfast there, though.
