I actually always liked that the dragon was more like some fierce creature out of a [In reply to] Can't Post

bestiary, rather than just a big lizard with wings. Dragons are not lizards, after all, as Smaug himself makes plain.

I always felt Lake Town had a rather germanic feel [In reply to] Can't Post

Probably because it is lead by "The Master" = burgomeister.

So a taste for moustaches would set them apart from their (Anglish) cousins in Rohan.

that is quite a furry thing [In reply to] Can't Post

Smaug apparently never went to a waxing studio..

Anyway, if the arrow is made out of mithril, PJ is able to make another slight nod towards the LOTR trilogy.

If it was Mithril, it wouldn't be black... [In reply to] Can't Post

It could be a Mithril/Adamantine alloy.

(Mix it in with some Vibranium for ricochet shots Tongue)

A possible origin would be to have the arrow forged from the remains of Gil-galad's spear.

In the absence of loremasters like Elrond and Gandalf, it might give Ori a chance to show his erudition by identifying it.
