Thranduil looks so majestic! I really like his look! The altar - very strange? Is it Hobbit related? I don't recognise the runes? And that Orc looks like Gothmog!

But that's not Alatar (unfortunately!) The two action figures are of Tauriel and Gandalf.

Awesome pictures! I don't think the Altar is Hobbit-related. TheHobbit.com has a wallpaper creator, and one of the pictures shows Elrond standing at a table that looks very much like this altar! Also I have seen a picture of Elrond, Bilbo and Thorin standing around a table that looks like this. So I think it's more White Council related.

but I canīt reconcile myself with Thranduil yet, I look upon Elrond and I feel : thatīs an Elven chief, then I look upon Thranduil and...Thatīs all but seriousness for me, I mean Thranduil could be serious and powerfull in his manner, but this outfit (IMO always) shows his self love, or somethng, wich (IMO) shows him as a ridiculous but powerfull lider, I donīt know, I know there is A LOT to be shown of him that will change my mind but now thats a little bit how i feel...
I can not guarantee his safety - understood... Nor will I be responsible for his fate - Doh!

I think it's the only orc so far that looks like a LOTR-orc to me. See: Fimbul the Hunter I like Legolas in his woodland-armor. Unfortunately we won't see him untill December 2013. But I think the design of Thranduils elves is more sylvan-based. And I think even Thranduils look is great. It would have been boring to see a second Elrond or Celeborn. Different elves different looks. The people from Rohan or Harad do also look different to the people of Gondor or Rhûn. And the people of Dale are also going to look different although all are men. I am looking forward to see these different cultures. That is one of the many reasons why I like Middle earth so much. And to speak about Elronds armor... it looks great. I liked his armor at the Battle of the Last Alliance but this improved version looks much better! But still I am not sure WHY he is wearing it. Flashbacks the Battle of Fornost against the Witch Kings armies? Flashbacks to one of the Battles against Sauron? Or is he fighting in the Battle of Dol Guldur? Because he never wears an armor in LOTR outside a battle I guess that we will see Elrond fighting in a Battle. Great!

I've got to agree to the point that I cannot imagine Thranduil in armor with the "alright, bring it on then" attitude we've seen Elrond display before and that seems to be repeated in TH - judging from that one picture. But then again the look fits for Legolas' father imo. To me the entire design of Legolas always screams "(Probably spoiled) king's son who is out hunting for a bit of fun" and Thranduil just goes nicely with that impression. And even though it is really hard to judge from photopgraphs I kind of miss the natural grace and sheer presence of personality the other elf lords seem to have. Having said that I should add that I'm biased. I really like Elrond as a character and I like Hugo Weaving's interpretation a lot, too.

And Legolas has updated his mini skirt + high leather boots style to include a corset aswell. Suddenly I understand the Dwarves. (Joking, joking, all just joking.)

I'm so stunned with how Legolas and Elrond are so timeless! These 2 gents are STILL unchanged... which makes these movies all the more exciting for me! *twitch* Love having another peek at the (possible) Goblin-town orc. Thank you for these. They're fantastic!
I really need these new films to take me back to, and not re-introduce me to, that magical world. TORn's Observations Lists Unused Scenes

as for Thranduil... he looks nice, but rather too glitz and glam . .. One thing I would like is if they were to show a clear ethno-cultural difference between the Sindarin and Silvan elves. That would be mega-awesome. Maybe this visual look would be one of those separators? .. .. Maybe the Silvan elves will be portrayed as more easy-going life loving elves?... We shall see..

The text that is displayed reads: http://www.imdb.com/media/rm4265847040/tt0903624 but the url address it's trying to link to is: http://http//www.imdb.com/media/rm4265847040/tt0903624 you have two sets of "http" and one set is missing a colon. When you use the link button here at TORn, the http:// is already in the window that pops up. It is important that you erase that when you are pasting a link address into it. I'm not sure why the second http is missing the colon. That should be the one you pasted. But, that's what went wrong.
