Is anyone planning a Tolkien-inspired Halloween this year? i.e., costumes, decorations, parties?

I would think a Halloween party filled with Elves and Orcs would be pretty cool. You could run the gamut from sublime to savage.
I heard you got shot FIVE times in the tabloids. It's not true. He never got anywhere NEAR my tabloids.

says he was 10 before he figured out why he always got a costume party for his birthday and no one else ever did. He'd just thought his mom was really cool. Ditto for the friend born on the Fourth of July. Thought the fireworks were for him.

Which I guess is fitting for the whole scary Halloween deal. We're planning to wear the crown and mask of the Witch King of Agmar, as not to be mistaken with anything from Harry Potter. I would love to go to a costume party with elves, dwarves, hobbits, etc.

The Fellowship was in theaters I really wanted my husband to dress up as a Nazgul ( he was tall) & I was going to dress up as a hobbit (I'm short) but he wouldn't go along with it. We used to pick a theme & dress up at work but the new management discourages fun these days. Darn boring accountants! No offense to any accountants out there-my sister is one & she's far from boring!

We don't get trick or treaters at our house, but if I did I always wanted to record the Ringwraiths' scream and have it play when someone rings the door bell .

I'm practicing warg drawings and will try translate one of those to a pumpkin sculpture. Maybe The Eye would look good carved on a pumpkin. I like the idea of the Nazgul scream for the door bell, but I don't want to freak out the kids. We did a Ring Wraith costume one year, and it would be fun to wear that to the door--if I can find it.
