I have grave concerns that if the speeds are not matched exactly, those jumping from the sub-2-and-a-half-hours-cash-grab bandwagon to the plus-2-and-half-hours-bloated-tripe bandwagon will risk falling and being hurt.

I don't suppose there's any chance of early reviews/info leaking online, however.
Anyone remember the insanely detailed review of TTT which was up on ToRN in what, October 2002? 
My Top 5 Wish List for "The Hobbit"
5. Legolas will surf down Smaug's neck
4. Bilbo will be revealed to a Robot
3. Naked PJ cameo as Ghan-Buri-Ghan
2. Use of not only 3D, but smell-o-vision, plus the inclusion of axes coming out of the seats and poking the audience when appropriate
1. Not only keep the claim that Thorin & Co. ran amok in Mirkwood "molesting people", but depict said incident in vivid detail!!!!!

I can imagine the guards sitting beside him in the theater watching him the entire time xD
And for those asking about 2D... I HATE 3D!!!
And 2 hours and 44 minute seems like a good length, hoping it doesn't get much shorter if changed :)

Because they didn't want him to take pictures or film or record anything.
And I don't know if I ever knew his name, and I know very little of him. I just know that there is this guy who have watched a rough cut in my local theater :P
I remember we sat and plotted a way to break in and watch the movie with him xD
I can try to find out who he is :)
