So has anyone else ever felt this...

While watching TTT tonight, I was reminded of something I've always kind of felt...when Sam and Frodo first see the Black Gate, the camera shows a close up of the gate and the orcs standing on top of it. Two orcs are engaged in a conversation, and for some reason I get the feeling that they are talking about something that is not at all work related... I can almost hear the shorter one complaining, "So then you're not going to believe what she did next..." or "My mother in law is in town, what a pain..."
In the movies Elrond, Denethor, Haldir, Galadriel, and Celeborn stink.

Which scene is this? I didn't notice the orcs at the top gate. Is this in the Extended Editions? Anyway, I'll have to see this scene. They could even be arguing about orc stuff like, "Which do you prefer tender man-flesh or tough man-flesh?" Or maybe even something totally off the wall like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RY7_ZwgoeJM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RY7_ZwgoeJM

You can see a number of orcs on the walls, and two of them are talking to each other. Pretty hard to miss.

...letting the trolls do all their dirty work. Goes to show that evil and lazy slaves will never get your ring back.
'What are we holding on to, Sam?' 'There's good in this world, Mr. Frodo, and it's worth fighting for!' 'I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you!'

Southron army as the gate closes was a good idea. It is unlikely nobody was stationed on the interior of the gate. Plus, it was broad daylight.

I can imagine this two orcs watching the Harads below laughing: Look at those two! And this poor bugars who were near to find the ring are coming back to the line before the gate gets closed behind their feet

In the book, Sam and Pippin simply approach the Black Gate, have no clear idea of how they are going to get in, and are then offered Gollum's alternative route. I still cannot understand why PJ had Frodo and Sam actually start to run for the closing gate in broad daylight. A baffling decision.

Yeah, that was a pretty silly idea...they could have tried waiting til night, or figuring out some way of disguising themselves as Orcs, Easterlings, Southrons, etc. Maybe PJ just needed to have them do it so Gollum could stop them...IDK.
