I would think a Halloween party filled with Elves and Orcs would be pretty cool. You could run the gamut from sublime to savage.

I heard you got shot FIVE times in the tabloids.
It's not true. He never got anywhere NEAR my tabloids.

I've never really "celebrated" Halloween [In reply to] Can't Post

But my nephew was born on that day, so I'm sure we'll do something. Just not Tolkien related Wink

I have a friend who was born on Halloween [In reply to] Can't Post

says he was 10 before he figured out why he always got a costume party for his birthday and no one else ever did. He'd just thought his mom was really cool.

Ditto for the friend born on the Fourth of July. Thought the fireworks were for him.

My friend and I are planning to be Ring Wraiths [In reply to] Can't Post

Which I guess is fitting for the whole scary Halloween deal. We're planning to wear the crown and mask of the Witch King of Agmar, as not to be mistaken with anything from Harry Potter. I would love to go to a costume party with elves, dwarves, hobbits, etc. Smile

The year after [In reply to] Can't Post

The Fellowship was in theaters I really wanted my husband to dress up as a Nazgul ( he was tall) & I was going to dress up as a hobbit (I'm short) but he wouldn't go along with it. We used to pick a theme & dress up at work but the new management discourages fun these days. Darn boring accountants! No offense to any accountants out there-my sister is one & she's far from boring!Wink

Ringwraith scream doorbell [In reply to] Can't Post

We don't get trick or treaters at our house, but if I did I always wanted to record the Ringwraiths' scream and have it play when someone rings the door bell Evil.

We will definitely do some LOTR themed pumpkins [In reply to] Can't Post

I'm practicing warg drawings and will try translate one of those to a pumpkin sculpture. Maybe The Eye would look good carved on a pumpkin.

I like the idea of the Nazgul scream for the door bell, but I don't want to freak out the kids. We did a Ring Wraith costume one year, and it would be fun to wear that to the door--if I can find it.

Just dressing up for the office party. [In reply to] Can't Post

I really need these new films to take me back to, and not re-introduce me to, that magical world.
