Riddles in the Dark Can't Post

Since the Hobbit will have 3 movies made out of it. Do you people think Riddles in the Dark will entirely take place in An Unexpected Journey ? Because the guy from the ''6 reasons why the Hobbit having 3 films is a good thing'' said : ''It looks like the first movie won’t extend much beyond Bilbo’s adventures in the Misty Mountains and his first encounter with Gollum, which is fine by me''. I surely hope it is, and I am pretty sure it will cause of the trailers and the scroll.

Ending [In reply to] Can't Post

Film will probably have its climax with the eagles rescuing the dwarves from the wargs. And I'm sure we can expect a couple minutes after the initial rescue for resolution of the film.

So we should get all of Riddles in this movie. Hopefully this will be one of the most memorable scenes of the entire series, as it was in the book.

But I'm a little concerned that PJ won't make it scary and creepy like it was in the book. That doesn't mean he won't do a good job, but I would still like to have that scary element to the scene and to Gollum's personality.

Now it's been cut early [In reply to] Can't Post

I imagine they will include more of the Riddles than they previously were. Still not all of them, but the majority of them.

Andy stated in the Videos that Riddles was the First Scene Shot.. [In reply to] Can't Post

Martin's first DAY? ON SET!
Also the Whole scene ran 13 minutes.
Soooo they have had plenty to time to
edit and perfect it.
I imagine it will come at least 3/4 of way
thru the Movie and will possibly be the
One of Cinema History's Tentpole scenes.

What? They have had over a Year to get it right.

what ? [In reply to] Can't Post

If it had plenty of time to edit and perfect it. And you think that it will be One of Cinema History's Tentpole scenes then it will be in one movie, not split in two.. That would be too unoriginal.. You 'll see.. I know i'm right

I here this is going to be an interactive movie. [In reply to] Can't Post

The audience get a handset. When the riddle comes up, they have to select the answer. If more than half get it wrong then the film ends with Bilbo being eaten by Gollum.

A Far Dragon is the best kind...

What I hope for .. [In reply to] Can't Post

On paper it sounds disjointed, but what I hope is that after Bilbo/Gollum ask their riddle, the scene then cuts to the Dwarves. This gives time for the audience (and Bilbo) to think about the answer. Then cut back to Gollum/Bilbo, and their answer.

That's kind of interactive. It doesn't have to happen for every riddle, but giving the audience a chance to guess might be good. Smile

Intercutting Riddles in the Dark [In reply to] Can't Post

with any other material would destroy any dramatic tension that is built by the sequence. I hope Peter leaves it intact and in its proper place.

That's true [In reply to] Can't Post

And creating an atmosphere is better than letting the audience guess the answer. Blush

I'd perfer it one fairly long scene. [In reply to] Can't Post

Bilbo finally all on his own..with no help to bail him
out like with Trollshaws.
For this to be truly terrfying
any cutaways would distroy the tension.

I'm also hoping Howard'music for this it some
of his Best work. I hope there is some
echo included in the sound.
Another observation..Daniel I believe, pointed out months ago
We are getting his little Boat!

The description of him paddling with his feet a
and Not even making a ripple in the water
is going to Really look creepy..
Remember he makes 3 trips to/from his little SlimyIsland
So that will take up some ScreeningTime.

also [In reply to] Can't Post

the audience will be able to vote a dwarf off with thier handset untill just the best ones remain... leaving the film less cluttered by the end.

All artists are prepared to suffer for their work, but why are so few prepared to learn to draw? :BANKSY

How Riddles in the Dark will be shown on screen [In reply to] Can't Post

Since PJ went to great lengths to shoot the entire Riddles in the Dark scene in single, continuous takes as if it were a theatrical play, it would seem weird to turn around and cut it up and jump back and forth between Bilbo and the dwarves.
