So glad that your map has arrived. Mine is going to the framer tomorrow.

I just got home from kitty-sitting and pulled my map out of the bigger tube to see if it's smooth. I laid it out on the bed and did a double-take when for a moment I thought it said "Speak French, and enter."

OK, I feel I can rest easy now, you have your map and your "TTT" meditation aid can be retired until the next time it's needed. a.s.

A chance meeting, as one might say. I'm pretty thrilled to have drawn a number between two of the folks I admire most on TORn :-)

Dora was Drogo's sister, and the eldest surviving female relative of Bilbo and Frodo; she was ninety-nine, and had written reams of good advice for more than half a century." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chance Meeting at Rivendell: a Tolkien Fanfic and some other stuff I wrote... leleni at hotmail dot com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Humans need fantasy to be human. special significances for our map numbers, isn't it? I've got two for mine so far: 1- The 23rd letter of the alphabet is W, and W stands for Wynnie! 2- My favorite character is Éowyn, and 23 is how old she would likely have been through much of the main action of LotR -- the Appendix says she was born in 2995, so (if my calculations are correct) unless her birthday was earlier than mid-March, she'd have met Aragorn, the Witch King, and Faramir at that age.
Perhaps under the shadow of the Unnamed some of the beasts of Mirkwood are wandering hither to our woods. They have black squirrels there, 'tis said.

I wasn't expecting it until tomorrow, but when I got home from work, there it was setting at my front door! It is even more beautiful than it looks in the photos - everytime I look at it I see something new. Mine's #12. *squee!!*

I'm hoping to see some "international" arrivals soon. We've had one Canada delivery, but none to the UK yet. Of course, the Kiwis got theirs right away.
