Whatever happened to Bridge Direct's Azog & Nori with Stone Troll? Can't Post

Back when the list for BD's TH line appeared online, there was a figure of Azog in the 6" collector's line (someone who supposedly worked at the company had mentioned they hoped to premiere their Azog at Comic-Con 2012, but PJ nixed the idea). Subsequently, it was discovered that "Nori and Stone Troll" was another of the Beast Packs...every other toy on that initial list is being (officially) released tomorrow (or today if you're in NZ)...but these two items are nowhere to be seen. I wonder if they've been cancelled, pushed back, or what?

My Top 5 Wish List for "The Hobbit"
5. Legolas will surf down Smaug's neck
4. Bilbo will be revealed to a Robot
3. Naked PJ cameo as Ghan-Buri-Ghan
2. Use of not only 3D, but smell-o-vision, plus the inclusion of axes coming out of the seats and poking the audience when appropriate
1. Not only keep the claim that Thorin & Co. ran amok in Mirkwood "molesting people", but depict said incident in vivid detail!!!!!

Pushed back? [In reply to] Can't Post

Do we even know if Azog is still appearing in the films? Wink With every cast member having played him at one point, who knows what the character looks like!

Nori and Stone Troll is new to me. [In reply to] Can't Post

By Stone Troll they might have meant Stone Giant? Or one of the three trolls in stone form? Anyways, I'm assuming it's going to be in film 1 anyways so why cancel or recall this pack?

Azog might be pushed to film 2 or they want to keep him a surprise up until the movie premiere?

Latest news was... [In reply to] Can't Post

..that Manu Bennett is playing Azog via motion capture. He was listed in the credits on the Hobbit App. I can't wait to find out the full story of this re-casting business.

How long will that stay for ;-) [In reply to] Can't Post

Azog has been very confusing - I wonder if he is even in AUJ?

Perhaps a tiny role? [In reply to] Can't Post

After a bit more poking around, it seems that BD have cancelled pre-orders for the Azog figure, so it's probably been cancelled, or pushed way back. Maybe he's only in AUJ for a scene or two? I don't know, it is all rather curious. BlushWink
