Heya there,
On big-scale movie project, especially on early planning stages, often fake titles are used, in order to make contracts, renting studios and equipment, hire freelancers - without being confronted with overpriced charges due to the high profile of the project.
As it is well known, "Return of the Jedi" had such a title: "Blue Harvest" - in order to obfuscate the intentions of the production company.
Now I wonder what such a title for "The Hobbit" project might be. Any ideas? :)
