Oct. Empire Mag has the Gandalf and Shire poster inside. Can't Post

I just bought what they call the "007 Special Collector's Issue" (which has a fold out cover with a portrait of each of the Bonds), but inside there is a 16"x22" The Hobbit - the Unexpected Journey poster, the one with the RR bridge in the background. Wasn't that the ComicCon poster?

It sounds like it's the same size as the one that came with Total Film, here in the UK [In reply to] Can't Post

This isn't the one that's supposed to be extra special right? [In reply to] Can't Post

There was news this week about some magazine coming out with a special 'Hobbit' themed issue. I imagine it isn't one... I'm finding it hard to keep up Unimpressed

There's the cover, and I presume, new content inside as well. The poster is a freebie. Smile

Ah ok [In reply to] Can't Post

I assumed the cover was a foldout of the Bonds (per Lissuin's post) and the poster was all that was in there Crazy

I'm getting myself confused, sorry [In reply to] Can't Post

The Empire Hobbit special is the November edition, but was originally thought to be October's edition. October's edition must be Lissuin's one (with the poster), and next month is the special Hobbit edition.

That's right, Earl. [In reply to] Can't Post

According to that other link, this issue I have can't be the special Hobbit one. It's a James Bond special. There is nothing about hobbits except the poster - and an ad for FOTR shown with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and Shore's score on Nov. 3.

I don't know what's going on here.Tongue Does Empire sometimes do more than one issue a month?

I'm a regular Empire reader and they have this as their November cover so I'm a little confused. Unless its not the British version we're talking about here.

The British and American Empire magazines have pretty much the same content [In reply to] Can't Post

Only difference is that the American version has more reviews targeted towards the American readers.

My subscription just ran out and I'm wondering if it's worth renewing. Good magazine, but due to my location I get it in my mailbox the Monday after it hits stores. Which means by the time I sit down to read it, every single article and picture will be everywhere online because the UK subscribers get it one week before me Mad

The British edition is the main version but there's several international versions including American, Australasian and I think maybe Russian?

I've done some googling and honestly cant find this Hobbit October issue anywhere. You sure this Flickr image is for real?
