Any word on the NYC Premiere?

I remember reading a while back that the US Premiere of the film would be in New York. I planned on going to NZ for the premiere but it just didn't pan out for me.
I was just wondering if anyone knows any dates for the premiere as of yet in New York, and if so if anyone is planning on going?
Since I can't go to NZ or London, I figure this would be the next best thing.

Well, idk but it would make sense for them to use the IMAX at Lincoln Center.
It's like a three story screen (I saw Avatar twice there--it was brilliant). I certainly plan to see The Hobbit at that venue more than once.

i've never been there but like you said, I've heard its magnificent.
I just really hope we find out soon when the actual premiere is. It would be so incredible to see PJ & Co on the red carpet!
