I tried one of those Middle-Earth recipes, fried boiled eggs, and some brown sausages with a pint of Chech beer Staropramen. And you?
Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle.

A bowl of cereal, box of chocolate raisins, and a couple mugs of coffee.

Had to resort to tea and toast, cheese and fruit, and half a Pop-Tart left in the box.

Baked Hobbit. It's just like Cornish Hen, but with big feet and they don't lay eggs so are good only for the meat. It's a fair bit of work to trim away all the fat but some people like it to remain - like pork chops with apple sauce.

I've already had a small omelet with mushrooms, tomatoes, sausage, onions, and fried taters. I'm going to make Pigeon Pie by Bombur from the official Hobbit Movie site, but I'm substituting pigeon with chicken and making the crust from scratch. However, I'm also drooling over Middle-earth Recipes by Primula & MithrandirCQ. You want to have fun... lose yourself in there! Sadly, no tea, thank you. ;) I'm not a tea drinker. I have a list of the food consumed in both The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, if you care to have a peek ;) If anyone has discovered other eats, please share!!! Hobbit meals end up being about every 2 hours. Breakfast, second breakfast, elevensies, nuncheon, lunch, supper, dinner... Meats: Bacon coney/rabbit mutton fish (raw) fish n' chips pork-pie salted pork other salted meats chicken ham sausages (film) hart/deer/venison Foods: Mushrooms hot soup cold meats Seed-cake other cakes butter toast loafs of bread white bread yellow cheese red cheese raspberry jam blackberry tart apple-tarts mince-pies scones salad taters carrots turnips eggs (fried, not poached thank you) pickles tomato lembas cram Beorning's honey-cakes (twice-baked cakes) clotted cream yellow cream nuts jars of dried fruits pots of honey sorrel Green Herbs: thyme sage marjoram bay-leaves Fruit: blackberries hawthorn-berries wild strawberries apples blackberries Drinks: tea beer Dorwinion wine red wine yellow wine water mead coffee porter Miruvor ent-draught orc-draught milk
I really need these new films to take me back to, and not re-introduce me to, that magical world. TORn's Observations Lists Unused Scenes

...actually, I had a bagel. :( I wanted one even though it's not very Middle-Earth-y. I did have potato chips later so the subject line is sort of true...

simple, yet delicious but I hear there will be lots o' food at a Hobbit Day party I'm going to later today
..The land of long-forgotten name: ......no man may ever anchor near; ..No steering star his hope may aim, ......for nether Night its marches drear, ..And waters wide no sail may tame, ......with shores encircled dark and sheer. ..O! Haven where my heart would be! ......the waves beat upon thy bar ..For ever echo endlessly, ......when longing leads thy thought afar

For me it was a Saturday's late breakfast: 2 Eggs with two slice of raisin's bread and chocolate milk. Not to forget the newspaper which I didn't eat but read quite eagerly.

English muffin (although none of my friends who have visited from England could figure out what this was when asked, by the waitress, to define what kind of muffin they wanted at breakfast) - peanut butter and jam. lunch is hamburger (left from last night's grilling) and, very quickly, a second helping of last night's birthday carrot cake. Not for Bilbo or Frodo's birthday but my Mr Elf-man's birthday yesterday. :-) Carrot cake could be kind of Hobbity, don't you think?

Although they are particularly fond of mushrooms. Speaking of which, my dad brought home several cases with a variety of fresh mushrooms that he picked in the forest.
