**Queer Lodgings**: Open Discussion. Can't Post

I'm sure there are many matters concerning this chapter which I have not raised in my previous posts. This is your opportunity to bring them up. So the floor is open!

I would like to thank you all for, once again, giving me the opportunity to lead a chapter discussion here. I have enjoyed it. I hope you have too. And with that I pass on the baton to N.E. Brigand for Flies and Spiders.

Thanks, Pryderi! [In reply to] Can't Post

I'll just point out one beautifully descriptive passage before heading on into the dark woods: "Sometimes Bilbo saw the horns of the harts sticking up out of the long grass, and at first he thought they were the dead branches of trees."

What a feel this gives, for the tall grass and the ease of the local wildlife!

"I desired dragons with a profound desire"

"It struck me last night that you might write a fearfully good romantic drama, with as much of the 'supernatural' as you cared to introduce. Have you ever thought of it?"
-Geoffrey B. Smith, letter to JRR Tolkien, 1915
