BBC Radio 4, Aug 4th at 10.30am (GMT + 1): "The Hobbit, the Musical"
As with the other R4 broadcast I posted about, presumably this will be available for at least a few days after broadcast on the BBC's iPlayer (web streaming player); BBC radio broadcasts usually are.
"Actor Billy Boyd, who played a hobbit in the films of The Lord Of The Rings, narrates the story of the first ever stage production of J.R.R.Tolkien's The Hobbit, at New College School in Oxford in 1967. It was written by Humphrey Carpenter, with music by composer, Paul Drayton, then music teacher at the school."
