Hobbit panel Can't Post

So, when can we expect the panel showing up on Torn's homepage? I hope WB doesn't get too cheeky.

Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle.

Yes, great to watch the panel, but no preview footage :-( [In reply to] Can't Post

Ah well. Still a great watch. Thanks Danielos, and thanks to you, and everyone, for the great input in the live feed yesterday. The mood and excitement was exactly what the lead-up to December should be: a load of fun (just like here on the Hobbit board)! Smile

Thank you! [In reply to] Can't Post

I've been searching high and low for this. I think I a lot of people are just happy to watch the Q & A, so thanks for the heads up.

Galadriel being the "most powerful being in Middle Earth" [In reply to] Can't Post

Is certainly debatable.

Gandalf, on paper, is likely significantly more powerful.

However, there's a case to be made that Galadriel, as a ring-bearer, the matriarch of Lorien, and the most senior elf in Middle Earth (I mean, she goes waaay back to Cuivienen, and "there and back" to and from Valinor), is one of the most powerful beings in Middle Earth, second only to Gandalf.

But Gandalf doesn't actually "rule" a people in Middle Earth, so this depends on what Philippa means by "power."

If you define "powerful" in a way that also includes temporal governmental power over peoples, than Galadriel may very well be "more powerful" than Gandalf.

Armitage was on the Hobbit Comic Con panel [In reply to] Can't Post

And no one asked him a question during the Q and A...

The moderator certainly should have stepped in and done that.

Part of the problem is that people during Q&A have a tendency to bloviate about themselves before asking a question, which seriously cuts into the time allotted for questions.

If it doesn't have a question mark at the end of it, it doesn't belong in Q&A!

Ha, on Sir Ian, yes [In reply to] Can't Post

This is the problem with massive fan gatherings like this (events I really dislike). People just gush and splutter and geek out far too much (either that, or they rage angrily at something), leading to not very many interesting questions being asked...

But man do I want to see those 12 minutes of footage! Smile
