LibraryThing - entering books [In reply to] Can't Post

You can enter books to your heart's content in LibraryThing, and they offer a very inexpesive optical reader to scan in the bar codes on the back (or inside cover) of many books.

I scanned in my entire library - yes, it took a while, and yes, about 20% of the books did not have the little tags that made it easy to scan.

My username on library thing is not hard to guess. Blush

I have at least a hundred books I currently own. [In reply to] Can't Post

My closet has books from floor to ceiling bookshelves completely full, after I pruned my book collection. I have a separate bookcase filled completely with all my favorites. Not to mention the 263 kindle books. It would take me far too long to add all the books I own, and I have probably read at least a thousand :P Virtual libraries are not for me.

My progress so far on my walk to Rivendell
I have traveled 71 miles
I have passed Buckleberry Ferry.
It is 2 miles to the next landmark.
I have 387 miles until I reach Rivendell.
