Battle of the Odd Creatures: Gollum v. Gurgi (of Prydain) Can't Post

They're odd. When introduced in book portrayals, they are of indeterminable species. They seem humanoid yet with animalistic qualities. Both seem to have trouble walking erect. Both have voracious appetites. Both can be stealthy. And persistent. Each might be considered cute...at times...though not equally so.

They have verbal idiosyncracies. Both like making rhymes, but in different ways. They are each portrayed in movies with an arguably Donald-Duck-esque voice.

I'd give Gollum the edge in an all-out fight...but what if it were a game of chess? No cheatings-and-unfair-competings allowed! Which would be the one to declare checkmate?

Gurgi is from the fiction of Lloyd Alexander about the land of Prydain, and was featured in the Disney animated adaptation The Black Cauldron.

A bag is like a hole that you can carry with you.
