Or 26 weekends. Not long. Can't believe it's been filming for 15 or so months. It's flown by! It's even less to the Premier at the end of Nov.

I can't believe it's so close! It feels like just yesterday we were waiting anxiously just for an announcement of the films. It's been a long ride, but we're finally near the end. It's bittersweet.

Remember the official announcement from Dec. 2007, which had the first film coming out in Dec. of 2010?

But yeah, it does feel like just yesterday that PJ's films were a mere fantasy (literally and figuratively)...and now, we could well be getting a full trailer next month!
It's going to be an exciting 6 months here on ToRN...
My Top 5 Wish List for "The Hobbit"
5. Legolas will surf down Smaug's neck
4. Bilbo will be revealed to a Robot
3. Naked PJ cameo as Ghan-Buri-Ghan
2. Use not only 3D, but smell-o-vision, with axes coming out of the seats and poking the audience when appropriate
1. Not only keep the claim that Thorin & Co. ran amok in Mirkwood "molesting people", but depict said incident in vivid detail!!!!!

feeling for me...I know it is crazy...but I half expect some issue to crop up....well, I know that is unlikely at this point in the film but certainly the last 5 years or so have been stressful for Hobbit watchers.
My thoughts are actually starting to form around a, hopefully not too far off, Children of Hurin movie. Maybe in 10 years (hopefully we will all still be here!) the Tolkien estate will need a cash infusion.

I remember waiting anxiously for years just to get that announcement. It was so exciting when it finally came. It's weird to think that if that schedule had been met, we'd have already seen the films. I'm glad for the extra time though; I'm not ready for the end.

Once the filming actually began, I completely relaxed. Anything before that, though, and I was completely unsure. Can't believe it's so close now!
