Thanks Reinier. The others have been posted but not Kili and Tauriel. I won't judge anything until I've seen it. But why do we need this romance at all??

Pass the popcorn and have the kleenex ready.
****************************************** The audacious proposal stirred his heart. And the stirring became a song, and it mingled with the songs of Gil-galad and Celebrian, and with those of Feanor and Fingon. The song-weaving created a larger song, and then another, until suddenly it was as if a long forgotten memory woke and for one breathtaking moment the Music of the Ainur revealed itself in all glory. He opened his lips to sing and share this song. Then he realized that the others would not understand. Not even Mithrandir given his current state of mind. So he smiled and simply said "A diversion.”

I can´t really blame Kili for trying. Tauriel is really hot! But I´m afraid he is a bit on the short side for her and dwarves and elves don´t get along that well!

I will judge before I've seen it, so I have that covered. Hopefully, this is just a minor bit of comedy, and nothing more... A fabricated romance between a dwarf and a fabricated female warrior elf character...sounds like Oscar material...

How about the Dwarven version, "Dismalion"?

With Kili getting a possible romantic interest, I suspect his eventual death might get even more tragic.

(Can't blame you.) And I suppose things got very messy studying Romeo and Juliet in high school. (Kids still study Shakespeare in high school, right?)
