Yeesh [In reply to] Can't Post

Fair enough, but I found Kiran as Legolas terrific and burst out laughing (no pun intended) when the swordmaster stabbed the ball. It's posts like these that make me post less often than I'd want.

We see a lot [In reply to] Can't Post

Yes, we learn nothing of the finished product, but I found the vlog hilarious (and not laughed before at any before). They also reveal a lot of snippets that are worth getting excited over.

How can you not laugh at Bombur: "I've got a wet arse!" Laugh

Because it's good to see something new? [In reply to] Can't Post

Because there are lots of snippets and details there if you look for them - and even if they aren't particularly significant, people enjoy trying to spot things and speculating and guessing about them.

Because it's a little glimpse of what's happening.

It's harmless fun, that's all. After all, they're hardly going to release the film yet, are they?

I'm supposed to be doing two essays in an open exam but I thought -who firggin cares-? [In reply to] Can't Post

So, the main things that I loved and noticed:

the AWESOME dwarven hammers and long weapons in WETA workshop.

Pronunciation of "Gloin" --> suspect.

All of the barrel scenes seem to be with them at the top visible... CrazyUnimpressed.... oh well.

Loved the Troll Cave with the treasure etc.

Can't really remember anything else.

Bye people I'm off to do those essays!!! FrownFrown

ps.) Either Cliff/Quickbeam was lying or he had no clue Tongue

I'm pretty sure those brilliant melee weapons we saw in WETA workshop were some of the arsenal of Dáin's army [In reply to] Can't Post

They look fantastic, and kinda remind me of Warhammer (miniature game) but made into real life LOL

Cool

'Gloyn' is still bugging me slightly. Anyone also notice that Bifur used his Axe-in-the-Head --IN-- Combat, whilst they were doing the stunt arcade play around???

The trees on fire bit was cool too Smile. Probably part of the Out of the Frying pan into the Fire scene

Oh wow. [In reply to] Can't Post

I'm sorry you do not enjoy them. You are, of course, entitled to your opinion.

But I find all of them awesome. I think the humor is clever--I have laughed out loud at several bits i.e. the person sleeping while the sword battle was going on in the parking lot and the bit at the end with Kiran in Legolas wig. The people are very dear to me, and that's why I love to see them clowning.

As for not learning more about the movies, again, I disagree. We have learned, over the course of the vlogs, what the dwarves will look like, some of the scenes that will be in the movies, how they are made, and we are introduced to who is making them, so that we bond a bit with them, too. And the sneek peeks of Saurman (at the end of a previous one) and Legolas (on this one) are just big bonuses.

These are a tease with enough in them to tell us about the production without spoiling it seriously for us. I love them, and truly hope they will be on the blu-rays.

But, what types of things would you like to see on the last one?

I'm just a little more lazy with my pronunciation. they way you say it i feel falls into the way i say it if you are lazy, does that make any sense? haha.

How does everyone say smaug? When i was little i always said smorg but i know others have said smowg which is probably right!

What caught my ear [In reply to] Can't Post

was the way Bard said 'Kill-i' and not 'Kee-lee". I have always elongated the vowels in all of these. As long as we have Bah-lin and not a short 'a' Ba-lin I will be fine. Smile
and 'Fili' is not a horse.

They should be [In reply to] Can't Post

in the EE release, the vlogs, that is.

In the last one, I'd like to see a handful of photos of the characters, such as: Bilbo in Bag End, Elrond contemplating the fate of the world in Rivendell, a group photo of the White Council, and so on.

How's it going, Patty?
