LEGO Hobbit date? Can't Post

I added a comment in another thread about this, but as I look around, there don't seem to be other comments on this - so maybe this is something new? I'm starting a new thread, just in case.

The LEGO Summer 2012 catalog was just delivered in our mail. It looks like the mailed version is different from what you might get in the store, because the extra cover (for mailing) is actually a poster!

And bigger news -- the back side of the poster says something about "LEGO Hobbit - Your Journey Begins December 1st 2012". That isn't the movie date, and this is Hobbit not Lotr, so it isn't the video game.

Ok, here are some pics (hope I do this right):

are those your scans? [In reply to] Can't Post

They're too big to post here but you might mail them to spymaster @ theonering . net (take out the spaces)

TORn might want to post them in front page article with your info.

To embed them in a post here, they have to be a lot smaller. You can see the size limits by following the link in my footer (this info is also posted in numerous places on the forums but I don't have a quick link to any of those posts).

Yea, tried to resize just now... [In reply to] Can't Post

Yes, the are my own scans. I just now tried to resize/replace on photobucket, but my browser keeps showing one big (and the other the new smaller one), so maybe my cache needs clearing, or maybe I still goofed something up.

I'll also send to spymaster as you suggest. Thx.

It's not like anyone has the LEGO Hobbit sets yet. Only the LotR sets are becoming available now (June 2012).

LEGO LotR was only June 2012 (no day)... [In reply to] Can't Post

When we first heard about LEGO LotR sets, it seemed to always just say availability was "June 2012", but not any particular day. This Hobbit date however seems unusual to be so precise stating the FIRST of December. Seems very odd to me.

Also, does that mean the Hobbit kits will essentially be spoilers? 'Cause we won't have seen the movie yet... Smile
