Bilbo's journey. WILDERLAND Can't Post

Hi Everyone!
Some here who know me, know of my fascination with old maps.
As I said in the post The manuscript of Isildur, I love the work Daniel Reeve did for the LOTR trilogy. The maps are simply amazing. Some of them were sold, others were for promotions and a few rarities like today I present you never came to light, beyond a small image on websites.
That's the map:

As you see, the map is showing the journey to the Lonely Mountain and return.
I have the impression that probably it will have some major place in next movie The Hobbit.

Here is my replica:

I made the map completely from zero with different techniques.
The detail is impressive:

There are 3 types and I am unable to decide where to stay, so I get the 3. About the color of the original should not be paying too much attention, according to the color temperature which the photo was take , maps and papers can vary up to 1000 ° K tone.

The truth is that live and live not that much difference but hey ... tastes ...

The size is 28x38cm, but can take up to 60x80cm. I've made a resolution (600dpi) that gives it for large sizes.
Hope you like it-.

Fantastic [In reply to] Can't Post

I love maps (and especially old maps) as well - my first degree was in Geography Laugh

The detail is stunning. Makes you think they could be real places.

These are great and you have a fantastic skill here. A little off topic, but is Daniel Reeve involved with The Hobbit?

Unfortunately [In reply to] Can't Post

your first few photos were oversized and had to be removed. However, feel free to resize them to the board guidelines (pasted below) and repost them within this thread.

Here are the guidelines from TORN 201:

The specific guidelines for posting pictures within the message body of your post are as follows: the maximum size of any picture posted should be 525 wide x 400 pixels high (or a better measure is: 210,000 pixels squared - width x height), but no wider than 670 pixels. The maximum file size per picture should be 45k. The cumulative file size of all pictures in one post should not exceed 225k (5 pictures of the maximum filesize of 45k, 10 pictures of a filesize of 22.5k, etc.). These guidelnes apply to pictures hosted on other sites as well as to pictures posted as attachments to your post. For more detailed help on posting within a message body, check out Magpie's step-by-step TORn Image Posting Guide.

Celebrimbor: "Pretty rings..."
Dwarves: "Pretty rings..."
Men: "Pretty rings..."
Sauron: "Mine's better."

"Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Sauron’s master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded b*****d with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak.

DO WANT [In reply to] Can't Post

Ahhhhhhhh, maps, beautiful maps.... They're lovely!

But every word you say today
Gets twisted 'round some other way
And they'll hurt you if they think you've lied
