up a thread (a bit like Fiesta but without the drink!) and i would like to start up say on a weekend (Sunday siesta?!) any interest or not a good idea - just thought it was worth a shot to liven new board up. -e_H-

I really doubt you need to ask permission anymore now that we have these nice new boards. If people want to contribute to a thread, it will stay active. If they don't, it'll fall to page 2 (and on). My only suggestion would be to post it on the Off-Topic board.
