If so, thank you so much for the offer. But I do have all the 12-inch figures I'm in need of at the moment (in regards to the Angel/Buffy line). But maybe Deej would be interested. But the offer is very much appreciated.

actually looks pretty good in person. I'm very much looking forward to getting my 12-inch Boromir figure in the next few weeks.

I'm a somewhat obsessive collector - to the extent that my mother reckons anyone coming round to my apartment would instantly be scared away. I suppose a tiny apartment with eleven life sized standees in it IS a bit intimidating for some - but hey, love me, love my collectibles! As far as Sideshow goes, I have several helms - Eowyn/Dernhelm, Witch King, Frodo and Sam as orcs, Merry/Rohan, Pippin/Gondor, Aragorn's crown, the orc one which was sold through TOrn - I think that's it... I have the Buckleberry Ferry, Weathertop and Meduseld Environments. I have two 'Arms of the Fellowship' displays. Minas Tirith and Minas Morgul (the ones where one part came with the EE...) Obviously the other things which came with the EEs. Bilbo/Gandalf at the door of Bag End book ends. Can't think of anything else right now... Oh, a few of the medallions. I think that's it. One of these days I'll get a big enough place where I can actually display all my collection, rather than just having to pile up boxes and cases in the corner... And then people will REALLY be scared when they visit my humble abode!

Sideshow made two Bilbo pieces and you can find them on Ebay from time-to-time but the only one I could find is absurdly expensive. I work an extra job to pay for my obsession... so, no... I'm not filthy rich! Some of these were prizes or gifts. I'll see if I can get a picture of them... but I have them stacked on my piano with over-turned aquariums acting as a curio cabinet. I have a 20 gallon, a 15 gallon a 10 gallon, and a 5 gallon so far to cover them all. Gandalf the Grey bust (1st piece-won in Houghton Mifflin drawing 2002) This is the first thing I got, and it was the prize of a drawing by Houghton Mifflin very shortly after Fellowship of the Ring was released. TOTALLY blew my mind! Sam and Bill the Pony (2002) This is the first thing I bought. Frodo (2005) Pippin in Gondor uniform (2005) Merry holding veggies (2006) Argonath (FotR dvd) (2002) Gandalf the Grey (pointing) (2004) Gandalf & Bilbo (book ends - someone's at the door) (2002) Corsair Peter (#437 of 3500) (2005) Gollum (TT dvd) (2003) Gollum bust (prize at ORC 2005) (#1155 of 6000) (2005) Gríma Wormtongue bust (#1734 of 2000 prize at ORC 2005) Orc overseer (prize at ORC 2005) Bilbo bust (#9418 of ? 2007) (this one is displayed in Sideshow right now. Weird!) Minas Tirith (from RotK dvd collector's ed.) Minas Morgul (special offer from RotK dvd collector's ed.) Aragorn (non-polystone version – 2006) Boromir (non-polystone version arrived March 8th!) Hobbits in Hiding Globe (April 2006) Headgear Aragorn's crown (unmarked # of 8500)(limited ed. free w/RotK eedvd) Frodo's Orc helm (#322 of 2500) Sam's Orc helm (#1170 of 2500) Pippin's Gondor helm (#593 of 2500) Merry's Rohan helm (#435 of 2500) King of the Dead crown (#1119 of 4000) Éomer helm (#885 of 3000)

At their panel on Saturday evening, they were giving away the Helm of Eowyn to everyone that came, which was a wonderful surprise. And after seeing the new diorama of Frodo and Gollum at the crack of Doom, I really think I need to order it.

Other than to see old friends I had no motivation to attend. Getting that helm would have been lovely. If you see an extra one sitting around . . .
. . . One should, if possible, express a negative concept in a positive form: "not meaningful" rather than "meaningless." I agree and will, therefore, now refer to contemporary movie executives as running around "like chickens without their heads cut on." - David Mamet
