New Article and Pics in Empire Magazine?

Empire is publishing their preview of 2012 tentpole films (it's on newsstands next week, and apparently, is already being shipped to subscribers), and evidently, it may contain new information on TH...has anyone read the new issue? Here's a new pic from the mag (looks like it's from the same scene where Thorin & Co. enter Rivendell we saw them filming in the Video Blog): http://i44.tinypic.com/zik7du.jpg There may be more, so hopefully we'll see them online at some point...
My Top 5 Wish List for "The Hobbit" 5. Legolas will surf down Smaug's neck 4. Bilbo will be revealed to a Robot 3. Naked PJ cameo as Ghan-Buri-Ghan 2. Use not only 3D, but smell-o-vision, with axes coming out of the seats and poking the audience when appropriate 1. Not only keep the claim that Thorin & Co. ran amok in Mirkwood "molesting people", but depict said incident in vivid detail!!!!!

If that isn't freakin' Bilbo Baggins I don't know what is!

I expect the only real significance the Ring will play in the films is during Riddles in the Dark and the few other occasions when Bilbo uses it like in the book. And I wouldn't be surprised if there were some ominous glimpses of Bilbo clutching the Ring in danger, and perhaps some strokes here and there (for continuity sake). But yes, the Ring doesn't have a pivotal role in the grand scheme of the story, and so should remain marginal.

And I agree that it's for the best that they're not going to overemphasize the Ring in TH...hopefully, they won't give anything away.

Nice little snippet, and yes, looking at most of the Dwarves, I imagine there is a lot of weight in most of those costumes. Poor boys.

between the facial prosthetics, wigs, elaborate costumes, and over-sized hands, it's probably a good thing that they've been through CPR training (as the subjects being resuscitated, I assume)...

We know what the ring is, but the characters in the story have no idea and it should be viewed as innocently as it appeared to them; just a magic ring.

The LastThing that PJ&CO want is... it to NOT LOOK REAL? Weight for an actor under Heavy Protetics is like... what JRD told them in VBlog 2, I think? "You WILL be Spactuc-ulure!" He was probably the Best BOOST for their EGos, as Actors, the Legendary Gimli, Himself stopped by BAG-END? HOPE, "There is always HOPE" Ihope you have a Holiday to Remember..xoxoBBOY

John Cleese's line from Monty Python and the Holy Grail: She turned me into a Newt! But I got better... I don't want to think about presidents either. After these past 2, it'll be a long time before I vote again. Back on topic, some of the actors have a lot of prosthetics and hair, but I think the hands and the armor will probably be the biggest pain in the rump since the Make Up folks have learned from Gimli.
