In the Second Age a parody/tribute, by me. (to the tune of... you'll know.) In the Second Age of Arda, a dark lord gave the Three, To Elven kings from over the Sea. In the Second Age of Arda, the Seven gaveth he To Dwarven lords, And the Three to Elves from over the Sea. In the Second Age of Arda, some Rings bestoweth he: Three to the Elves, To the Dwarves Seven, And the Nine to mortal men like me. In the Second Age of Arda, with cunning, fashioned he For the Men the Nine, Three to the Elves, To the Dwarves Seven, And himself One to rule them utterly. In the Second Age of Arda, the dark lord's legacy: TWENTY GOLD RINGS. For the Men the Nine, Three to the Elves, To the Dwarves Seven, And himself One to rule them utterly. In the Second Age of Arda, they donned their jewelry. Sixth sense-a-tingling, TWENTY GOLD RINGS. For the Men the Nine, Three to the Elves, To the Dwarves Seven, And himself One to rule them utterly. In the Second Age of Arda, the dark lord thought with glee: Seven Dwarves, I hear you, Sixth sense-a-tingling, TWENTY GOLD RINGS. For the Men the Nine, Three to the Elves, To the Dwarves Seven, And himself One to rule them utterly. In the Second Age of Arda, the folk no longer free Hated the enslavement, Seven Dwarves in terror, Sixth sense betrayed by TWENTY GOLD RINGS. For the Men the Nine, Three to the Elves, To the Dwarves Seven, And himself One to rule them utterly. In the Second Age of Arda, the dark lord’s deputies, Nine Nazgul riders, Hate and fear incarnate, Seven Dwarves in terror, Sixth sense betrayed by TWENTY GOLD RINGS. For the Men the Nine, Three to the Elves, To the Dwarves Seven, And himself One to rule them utterly. In the Second Age of Arda, the dark lord did decree: Them, One to rule, Nine Nazgul riders, Hate and fear incarnate, Seven palantiri, Sixth sense betrayed by TWENTY GOLD RINGS. For the Men the Nine, Three to the Elves, To the Dwarves Seven, And himself One to bind them utterly. In the Second Age of Arda, his sentinels did see: Elendil’s men-a-marching, Then, Elves to join them. Nine Nazgul riders Hated to see them. Seven years besieged, Sixth sense betrayed by TWENTY GOLD RINGS. For the Men the Nine, Three to the Elves, To the Dwarves Seven, And himself One to bind them utterly. In the Second Age of Arda, in Dagorlad valiantly, Elves’ spears-a-thrusting, Elendil’s sword-a-swinging. Tenth finger falling, Nine digits quaking, Ate Narsil’s sharpness, Severed at the joint, Sixth sense abandoned. TWENTY GOLD RINGS: For the Men the Nine, Three to the Elves, To the Dwarves Seven, But the One Ring, he lost it utterly.
"That doesn't make much sense to me. But then again, you are quite small. Perhaps you're right."
