this was one of my favorite scenes in the fellowship movie.
am hoping to make an art print of this piece in time for the new york comic con this october.

Blows at that moment and you did a good job capturing the overall feel if the scene.
Some who have read the book, or at any rate have reviewed it, have found it boring, absurd, or contemptible; and I have no cause to complain, since I have similar opinions of their works, or of the kinds of writing they evidently prefer.

thanks a lot for the kind words.
i had just got my blueray collection, so doing "research" for this drawing was pretty fun.
ha.
i had an excuse to watch all 3 movies again without getting my girlfriend angry.
i'm going to color these 3 images up hopefully within the next couple of weeks.
will post the colored versions up as soon as possible.

I especially like the TT one, I'm not sure why but it stood out to me... good job!

THANKS FOR NOTICING ALL THE TEXTURES.
I'VE BEEN EXPERIMENTING A LOT WITH DIFFERENT TEXTURES THE LAST YEAR OR SO.
I USED TO DRAW VERY CLEAN AND SLICK. BUT THEN FOR SOME REASON, I JUST STARTED FALLING IN LOVE WITH MOEBIUS ALL OVER AGAIN.
AND HIS WORK MADE ME WANT TO use a lot more textures.
sorry, just realized i had my caps lock on.
haha
but for the "rain" effect on the TT piece, i used a dry brush.
and on the "smoke" or...smudge effects on the ROTK piece, i used acrylic paint on a piece of toilet paper.
hahaha

haha, thanks a lot.
really, thats very nice of you to say.
i've actually self published a few books in the past.
and am working on a new one now.
i love comics. but its so much work.
i always wanted to do a fantasy book, but i guess was never really good enough to get professional work.
which is why i had to self publish. and its just so expensive.
but we'll see what happens.
