As described in the book! Cheers for the high-res! His costume is beautiful(there are a few of them I've really liked, I think Gloin's was one and Dori's was the other, they were both sort of burgundy). I'm not sure, I have a bad monitor but does he have jewels encrusted on the cuffs of his coat and the belt of his quiver?(I was right in thinking he wasn't even wearing a belt around his waist and thus we have no idea how long his legs actually are in proportion to his body). He also seems to have thick fingers, though they are a bit hard to make out on his sword handle. And his nose really isn't all that small. Sure it's smaller than most of the others, except for Bofur, but it still got a sort of bulbous tip. LOL And I don't care what anyone says, I love his hair(except for the wind machine) Everyone was talking about the "huge bow and arrows" but neither his bow nor his arrows look all that huge to me. The arrows look a bit like the "stag killing" arrows of Robin Hood's time period(if you got caught with those arrows they knew you were out for no good with the King's deer:)) And unless I'm missing something the bow doesn't look especially large at all.

I was beginning to think that I missed seeing it among all of the posts
..The land of long-forgotten name: ......no man may ever anchor near; ..No steering star his hope may aim, ......for nether Night its marches drear, ..And waters wide no sail may tame, ......with shores encircled dark and sheer. ..O! Haven where my heart would be! ......the waves beat upon thy bar ..For ever echo endlessly, ......when longing leads thy thought afar

Has anyone else spotted something very strange about Kili's lower hand? Wonder if this was the reason it took so long to get a hi-res since it's not so noticeable at all in the smaller image... Thanks very much for posting this by the way. Love this costume so much more now I can see the detail.

Maybe Fili could take care of Kilis Extra-Fingers with the knife attached to his left arm..... well, however......... at least another cool detail.... Talking about cool details - are there dwarven runes on the blade of Kilis sword??

I didn't notice he had 7 fingers, maybe they thought his hands looked too small for a dwarf and decided to add extra fingers lol. The first time i saw it, i thought that the lower part of the body looked smaller than the upper part. Maybe they should look at the pictures a bit more before releasing them. I'm not sure about the runes but i at first i thought that too.

Men are more visual- we know it applies in terms of sexual attractiveness (the male sense of what makes a woman attractive is far more limited than the female idea of what makes a man attractive) and in terms of gratification from pornography. It's entirely possible that men get more out of seeing a picture and read more from it than they do picking up the subtleties of language. It's no secret that autism (which i have) tends to affect males far more than it does females- it seems to emerge from our natural inclination towards technical things and our comparative lack of imaginative capabilities. Personally i stand in wonder of people with artistic minds since i literally have the imagination of a gold-fish. Give me a picture and tell me where it goes right or wrong though and i can pick it apart into it's component parts as easily as talking. Dr Death

I had a vague notion in the back of my head that you might be on the autism spectrum by the way you write (which is can be very eloquent, by the way) and the way you interpret some of the social cues in posts. I've worked in counseling with a few people on the autism spectrum. This makes a lot more sense to me now, and definitely helps me understand the way you interpret things. Thank you for sharing that!
