Spartans would only have a chance if they were at
Thermopylae....plus, there were more than 300 Greeks at the battle...however, they could hold the pass quite a while if they took care to keep the secret way around guarded. But, in the end, fatigue and losses would overwhelm them. Orcs would not pull back as much as the Persians.
Caught on open ground, the Spartans would be slaughtered.
