That was when I first met him... :D

I saw me once, and so many others I know. Absolutely fantastic.

Sauron: "Mine's better."

Well done! May I share also? [In reply to] Can't Post

I made a similar effort on the 10th Anniversary.

This is actually a desktop slide show and the YouTube quality is fairly horrible, but the images and words more-or-less work.

Hope you don't mind me sharing it.

Thanks, Mr Cere! [In reply to] Can't Post

I love watching these. One of these days I'll make it to a con - or better yet to the next One Party. Cool

"Of all faces those of our familiares are the ones both most difficult to play fantastic tricks with, and most difficult really to see with fresh attention. They have become like the things which once attracted us by their glitter, or their colour, or their shape, and we laid hands on them, and then locked them in our hoard, acquired them, and acquiring ceased to look at them.
Creative fantasy, because it is mainly trying to do something else [make something new], may open your hoard and let all the locked things fly away like cage-birds. The gems all turn into flowers or flames, and you will be warned that all you had (or knew) was dangerous and potent, not really effectively chained, free and wild; no more yours than they were you."

We few, we happy few, we band of TORnsibs; [In reply to] Can't Post

For they to-day that share their pixels with me
Shall be my TORnsib; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlebeings in Middle-earth now-a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs'd they were not here,
And hold their geekhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That played with us upon Saint Founder's day.

Do we walk in legends or on the green earth in the daylight?

A man may do both. For not we but those who come after will make the legends of our time. The green earth, say you? That is a mighty matter of legend, though you tread it under the light of day!

..And waters wide no sail may tame,

......the waves beat upon thy bar
..For ever echo endlessly,

ROTK NYC [In reply to] Can't Post

That doesn't have a date yet, right? (I haven't been keeping caught up on that)
sounds expensive... but maybe, maybe if the date works out and all that jazz. I don't think my profs would think seeing ROTK in NYC is a legitimate excuse for missing class (well... one might Tongue )

Minne-moot this summer sounds wonderful, but I'm only in MN for certain weeks this summer Blush

Absolutely! [In reply to] Can't Post

I remember this from before and the sense of elation it brought me. Well, you have done it again MrCereLaugh. That is so lifting, so moving. Actually, i think you were obligated to post this again to add to the day. It would have been a sin not to.

These two videos fill all the little niches of my heart with a plethora of the finest happy-warm feelings.

Thank you brother:)

''Sam put his ragged orc-cloak under his master's head, and covered them both with the grey robe of Lorien; and as he did so his thoughts went out to that fair land, and to the Elves, and he hoped that the cloth woven by their hands might have some virtue to keep them hidden beyond all hope in this wilderness of fear...But their luck held, and for the rest of that day they met no living or moving thing; and when night fell they vanished into the darkess of Mordor.'' - - -rotk, chapter III

May the grace of Manwë let us soar with eagle's wings!

In the air, among the clouds in the sky
Here is where the birds of Manwe fly
Looking at the land, and the water that flows
The true beauty of earth shows
With the stars of Varda lighting my way
In all the realms this is where I stay
In the realm of Manwë Súlimo
