Scenes From The Hat Can't Post

Greetings and solicitations, my dear TORnadoes, and welcome to another edition of SFTH. I am your lovely and talented Mistress of the Hat, currently up to my eyes in spring cleaning. And you always find stuff you thought was lost, trashed, etc., during this time. Which got me to thinking...

What are some long lost things found during spring cleaning in Middle Earth? Well, aside from that ONE thing...Tongue

And suddenly the Tornadoes saw afar off a greenlight, as it were a cloud with a living heart of flame;
and they knew that this was no vision only, but that PJ had made a new thing: The Hobbit, the Film that Is.

I really need these new films to take me back to, and not re-introduce me to, that magical world.

One of Aragorn's many names -- specifically, this one.... [In reply to] Can't Post

"Redirts", which is Strider spelled backwards...his mother came up with this one when he was a teenage ranger...

Here's the poem that goes with it...

"All that is muddy is not dirty,
You can avoid baths and yet still be picky;
Not washing does not make one stinky,
Nice guys sometimes look icky.
Hot water removes all that is musty,
From the shower a clean man shall spring;
Unwrapped shall be soap that was dusty,
And "Redirts" again shall be clean."

Sauron: "Mine's better."

"Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Sauron’s master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded b*****d with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak.

Some who have read the book, or at any rate have reviewed it, have found it boring, absurd, or contemptible; and I have no cause to complain, since I have similar opinions of their works, or of the kinds of writing the evidently prefer.

I'm a user. I'll improvise. -Sam Flynn, TRON: Legacy

..The land of long-forgotten name:
......no man may ever anchor near;
..No steering star his hope may aim,
......for nether Night its marches drear,
..And waters wide no sail may tame,
......with shores encircled dark and sheer.

..O! Haven where my heart would be!
......the waves beat upon thy bar
..For ever echo endlessly,
......when longing leads thy thought afar
