the creature is one of the spiders most certainly. At least it looks like a spider... And the voice is no doubt Freeman's.

I've concluded that Andy Serkis is doing mo-cap for a talking spider...

Eeeeeee!!! Where to begin? I have to rewatch it about 10 more times first. I believe that was Martin Freeman at the end, who else would it be? It makes me afraid for the next ones. The level of production for the blog video seems to me to be of a quality that might be included on the DVD/Blu-ray. I'd hate to see all of the behind-the-scenes videos before I see the film...but at the same time I'm also going to love watching these.
"There is a long road yet," said Gandalf. "But it is the last road," said Bilbo.

and Martin Freeman voicing the words at the end. So here's a question: How much would you pay to run through the Rivendell set like PJ did? So much of that video felt like returning home, to a ridiculous degree. How heart-warming to see it all coming together again.
Celebrimbor: "Pretty rings..." Dwarves: "Pretty rings..." Men: "Pretty rings..." Sauron: "Mine's better." "Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Sauron’s master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded b*****d with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak. As spiders aren't bipedal, and Gollum doesn't have that hunched neck. That prosthetic creature with the animatronic head might've been the Goblin King.

If they're going to be communicating with each other using some squishy-screechy-squirmy-hissing sound that we're supposed to take for granted as their "language", I'm all for it

The voice was a bit too deep for Martin. Especially the 'There lived a Hobbit' part reminded me far more of Andy Serkis than of him.

... it wouldn't be a very intimidating creature. Why the cockroach Moria orcs looked more scary than this thing. That creature sure looks insect-like. And if there are a horde of those chaps running around, that'd be far more intimidating than a single fellow sitting on a high chair and shouting "Who are these miserable creatures?"

It's a Tolkien world! Let's do everything as close to book as possible.

crying in my coffee this am....so excited and the speech at the end by Richard, Martin, Andy and then Pete was just incredible....and then everyone walking into the sun - like on their way into a wonderful journey. Simply beautiful. And I **think** it was Martin at the end with slight vodocer lowering his voice registry. It is possible to do this very easily. But who knows!

it's definitely Martin Freeman no doubt about it and I think that pretty much confirms that that line will be the opening of the movie. I never really liked the idea of that but something about the way he said it there made it seem perfect.

Seriously, the voice is too rough, grovely (or how you say it in english) for it to be Freeman. And that creature is definitely some kind of a goblin.
