So is some version of Middle-earth a part of the Family Guy universe or what?

I know it's just a throwaway joke... but I am the sort of person who thinks about this kind of thing.

I like the Jimmy Hart version of the Gondor theme there too. For instance, on the planet Earth, man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much -- the wheel, New York, wars, and so on -- while all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man, for precisely the same reasons. -- Douglas Adams

I also love how the music is so close to Howard Shore's. And suddenly the Tornadoes saw afar off a greenlight, as it were a cloud with a living heart of flame; and they knew that this was no vision only, but that PJ had made a new thing: The Hobbit, the Film that Is.

Cripes, they got the music and the drama and the grandeur!!! Nice ;) *wild applause* I really need these new films to take me back to, and not re-introduce me to, that magical world. TORn's Observations Lists Unused Scenes
