(not that you needed my approval) You could probably put a link to it in your footer (if you wanted)

it has been long enough, and more than enough. I now look on my divorce as one of the best things that ever happened to me. It got me into counseling where I learned how to recognize and foster good relationships, and I've never looked back.

I went to the dentist too, yesterday. I hate that one is forced to almost swallow a damn camera so they can take pictures of your teeth, and then the "digging" commences... Nasty business but needed, and I guess I should be happy that I get dentist care free of charge.
The greatest adventure is what lies ahead.

It's nice to have something to cheer about on what's otherwise a solemn sort of day, when we've once again been reminded of how small and powerless we are.

One of our TORnsibs posted this on facebook, and I've been listening to it pretty constantly since then. This guy took the first 32 digits of pi and made them into musical notes, and then played them as a canon. He plays the second half with the first half, and then plays it twice as fast and layers that over the top, and four times as fast, and half as fast, and it makes very surprising harmonies for something that ought to be random. (Note that all the harmonies and chords come from pi itself; he's not just harmonizing to make it sound good, as some of the commentators seem to think.) It sounds a lot like Pachelbel's Canon, in fact. I'm not as surprised as I might be, because decades ago I memorized the first 20 places of pi, and noticed a lot of internal rhymes, like 1415 and 6535 and 8979 and 3238, where the same digit was two spaces apart. That's what makes it sound so musical, I expect. Anyway, here's the link: What Pi Sounds Like (or just google the title and it will come right up). He plays it with instruments, but I think it would make a cool choir selection, with people singing the numbers. That's what I'm trying to learn to do. I too am shocked and saddened by the disaster in Japan, and the people of Christchurch are also still very much in my heart. And congrats to Ataahua for becoming a Superuser (or superpower, as the case may be.)

It's been mindboggling the way the weather has been acting around here over the past while. For a while we had some mild weather, but the snow keeps on coming back in great forces. Thankfully, it generally melts away the next day, maybe not completely, but definitly a great percentage. So I'm just going to kick back this weekend, read some East of Eden, watch some movies, and maybe go out for some fun and games the way a normal weekend should be. Right now, as the sun beams through my blinds, and the house is quiet, I know this weekend will be one of the best in a while. Or ... I could completely wrong. *takes a seat next to the fire, and pops open a bottle of Coca-Cola* Cheers everybody!

Sir Cumference was the roundest knight on Sir Arthur's round table. He acquired his size from eating too much pi now, whether 32 slices is too much, I don't know

that would peck away on a steel shed every morning at 5 am outside my window. He did this for 3 weeks after which time either he realized his efforts were in vain, or his pecker (beak?) wore out. A fond memory, though at the time it was a royal pain. (Gee I hope this doesn't get quoted in Stuff )

This Porky loved pi. He loved pizza pi, pumkin pi, pineapple pi, pizza pi (yes, I know, but this is really how it went) He loved pi for breakfast, pi for lunch, pi in the afternoon, pi before he went to b--be--bed! Finally he ate so much PI that you know what he did---- he POPPED! ---The Monkees (and yes, I changed it from 'pie' to 'pi')
