when he gave the "my brothers" speech in front of the black gates, he proved he could be very persuasive with his talk, and I'm sure he could convince the hamsters that they should back down.

That is one of the funniest mental images I've had all day.

Uh, let's see ... the hamsters may have knives, but Aragorn could just jump on them. It would be gross and awful, but hey, this isn't a popularity contest. :)

But how in the world are the hamsters holding forks when they have no hands?

Once Aragorn pointed out the flaw in this logic, the hamsters would explode in a rage of common sense.
