please sir... can I have some more? [In reply to] Can't Post

I really think you need to authorize multiple votes!

I wouldn't waste the WSJ or NY phone book on him. And although I love JA movies, I've only 'read' one book (I listened to audio tapes). I want Richard to *be* an Austen character as much as just reading about a character. And I'm just not a Shakespeare fan. I appreciate Shakespeare. I don't fully enjoy him.

So, if I can't have multiple votes, I vote for Tolkien. Give me some drama and emotion to let Richard fully utilize his voice. And I enjoy reading/hearing Tolkien more than Austen. But having him read something a bit more romantic would be nice.

I've said before, my husband (before he was a husband) and I read The Princess and the Goblins to each other when we first met. The act of reading to each other is very enjoyable. :-) It wouldn't have to be my favorite book at all. (keeping a very tight rein on my potential fantasies here on this family friendly board)

Ha! I thought about it! [In reply to] Can't Post

But I wanted to force you to pick just one. The idea of JRRT, JA, and WS is just to have some large body of work, with plenty to read.

Or it may not matter *what* he reads, hence the dictionary, phone book and menu.

Then I got all fangirly with the tattoos and the chocolate.

*giggly goofy spasm* Laugh

I'm with you sister... [In reply to] Can't Post

right with you.

I'm sure it's obvious that I am not giggly type. Most of the time.

I tell you, I had it bad for Orlando and could get quite girly over him. (In my defense, I finally realized that my girly reaction was being triggered by the certain visual cues and those were the same as ones my husband possessed when I first met him in 1973. I used to think of him as a perfect Tolkien Elf at the time.)

I still am quite fond of Orlando but the triggers are fading. The two that can melt my heart these days are Richard Armitage and Matthew Macfadyen. I get *there* really quickly and I know you know this place of which I speak.

So I love the tattoos and chocolate. But if I get RA, I'm aiming high in regards to reading material. Nothing but the best for my man. :-P

But in reality, if he chose to read me the phone book, I'd shut up and listen.

For sure [In reply to] Can't Post

the quip was more in response to MacFalk's incredulity than the lamentations of any who find RA (or Dwarfs) dreamy.

Judging by early murmurs, whetted appetites of a sort are inevitable. The Hobbit may yet turn out to be the ultimate date movie!

Who would have guessed? Angelic

Now that you mention it, [In reply to] Can't Post

and I've thought about it overnight, there are certain visual cues for me, too. And wouldn't you know it, Mr. Eruvande possesses them as well! Laugh

For me, it's all about the eyes. Piercing and steady, but also dark and molten. RA manages to pull that off with blue eyes, which I don't normally consider dark and molten.

Woo, I'd better stop now before I dissolve in a fit of giggles! Laugh
