Happy Birthday Professor! [In reply to] Can't Post

Thank you dearly for all that you have given us! Smile

"All men dream; but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds awake to find that it was vanity; But the dreamers of day are dangerous men. That they may act their dreams with open eyes to make it possible."

A mixture for those not yet into their irresponsible 'tweens? [In reply to] Can't Post

Let's see: how about mixing that ginger ale (the ginger could represent the medicinal qualities of miruvor) with some fruit juice for the fruits of the Shire, and a small bit of honey for the honey-cakes of the Beornings?

Let us know what you come up with - and how it tastes! Laugh

"It struck me last night that you might write a fearfully good romantic drama, with as much of the 'supernatural' as you cared to introduce. Have you ever thought of it?"

Brilliant! [In reply to] Can't Post

I mixed Ginger Ale together with some grape juice and a tad bit of honey as per your suggestion and it was a huge success! It was fresh, fruity, clear, and had a golden aftertaste. Oh, and the meanings you gave behind the ingredients lent to the drink a fourth ingredient which I can't quite put my finger on. Wink I will definitely keep this in mind for next year with a few additions of my own. Cheers! Smile

"So knights are mythical!" said the younger and less experienced dragons. "We always thought so."

Yay, Professor! Thank you for many hours of happy reading, and many more happy hours discussing with friends. And thank you for many friends I met here on TORn, who wouldn't have been here but for you!

Looking forward to chapter discussion of LotR The Two Towers, Book III, beginning Jan. 9, 2010!

Words cannot describe how much your works mean to me and everyone here, so I think I'll just join everyone in raising my glass (of juice... it's still early) in thanks...
