They've logged the complaint and said they will keep an eye on things, but I doubt they will do anything until he attacks a person. Which is silly really, I'd rather they do something about it before he attacks somebody!
He has been involved in a couple of incidents in the past, lunged at a postal worker, and once knocked a boy off his bike, apparantly, in that instance, the boy involved begged his parents not to report it as he was upset about the possibility of the dog being put to sleep.
I wish the owner would just give him up. I don't think he is an unfixable case, I just think he needs somebody experienced with that breed to train and socialise him properly.
Scout is absolutely fine, I think it upset me more than him! He is very happy-go-lucky, and he's so soft, he didn't even attempt to fight back!

That's terrible! (BTW, if the other dog has a reputation of being vicious, shouldn't someone do something about that?! If the owner can't train it properly, they should give it away to someone who can-- and if they won't, they should at least restrain it better!  ) *Sigh*-- good for Ollie for his protectiveness :) -- and I'm so glad Scout is alright!!!

i am relieved that that scout is ok. It seems like a territorial thing to me. But this is not right. An understanding needs to reached here i feel. I have never favored german shephards. I would, for the record notify the town. I believe this incident will not be the last of it and you need to build a case, sorry to say. Please be careful.

It will pass soon. Almost everyone in my wife's big family had the same thing done as well. I think mrs. sil so far managed to avoid it due to her good diet of no red meats and no processed foods.
