Hmm, tough one....I may have to give the edge to Gimli due to his known experience in war.

of their fighting. If it's words: Thorin If it's battle: Gimli If it's drinking: Gimli If it's humor: Tie
It's Latin. Loosely translated, it means... we cheat. "Strange treasures in this fair world appear, strange all, and new to me." That is a poem by Thomas Traherne and I have absolutely no idea what it's about. But, when I was small I was made to learn it by heart so I don't see why you shouldn't suffer too.

He isn't prideful like Thorin.
If our honorable friend continues to scrape the bottom of the barrel for objections he is in danger of getting splinters under his nails.

Thorin Oakenshield - King Under the Mountain would easily take down Gimli.
The greatest adventure is what lies ahead.

Going with the old Dwarf.....he kicks butt...
What's the matter, James? No glib remark? No pithy comeback?"

Gimli is younger and faster, though Thorin does have a rather special sword. It would depend on what weapons they use, but I'd honestly go with Gimli. Thorin's just a little too old.
