At night you can not tell if crows are black or white.

This is really getting ridiculous, [In reply to] Can't Post

drawn out, and tedious.

I do not believe we will have "THE" answer tonight. [In reply to] Can't Post

Somehow I believe that Peter Jackson will be involved in "THE" announcement.

Company on a very blustery night is always welcome.

I will be off line for about an hour starting at the up coming hour mark. I have to commute to work. I will pick it up again from there.

Can I ask a simple question? [In reply to] Can't Post

Both Helen Kelly and NZAE have said that no industrial action will be taken towards The Hobbit from this point on. But WB and PJ both expressed concern that nothing is holding them to this verbal assurance.

So why doesn't NZAE just write up a contract with WB (each party's lawyers in attendance) stating that no industrial action will be taken from here on out? It would be a legally binding document. That way, if NZAE does come back for Round Two - WB can simply take them to court.

Wouldn't that solve the problem flat-out?

I actually think that's one of the things they are in the process of doing [In reply to] Can't Post

Unfortunately, I think Warner Brothers is having issues with the actual laws. That's why the Prime Minister is talking about some new legislation to put WB at ease.

Quote
The Government is "likely" to make changes to employment law to reassure US movie giant Warner Bros. it can make The Hobbit here without facing the threat of industrial action, says Prime Minister John Key.
