Lament for Boromir - Colin Rudd Can't Post

We just ran across this video this morning and thought we'd share! Musician Colin Rudd released 'Songs of J.R.R. Tolkien' back in 2001, and included on that release is a pretty impressive rendition of the 'Lament for Boromir.' We're embedding the video below for your viewing pleasure. You can also click on the link to view all of Colin's Tolkien related videos. [YouTube]

A little apart the Rangers sat, silent, in an ordered company, armed with spear and bow and sword. They were clad in cloaks of dark grey, and their hoods were cast now over helm and head....There was no gleam of stone or gold, nor any fair thing in all their gear and harness: nor did their riders bear any badge or token, save only that each cloak was pinned upon the left shoulder by a brooch of silver shaped like a rayed star.

That was haunting... and beautiful [In reply to] Can't Post

*tearing* Well done, Mr. Rudd. I had no trouble at all imagining him as Gondor's trubador.

I really need these new films to take me back to, and not re-introduce me to, that magical world.
