Favorite fantasy villain?

Who's your favorite fantasy villain? I'm going with [Heath Ledger's] The Joker. You can't get any better than that! Or maybe you favor the crazed dean, Ed Rooney, of Ferris Beuller's Day Off.... Who's your favorite villain? *That would be a great band name! If they could get past the copyright issues...

Sauron? You know, the Lord of the Rings. While he isn't center stage he is expertly crafted and his black specter hangs over the entire Tolkien trilogy. By not doing the reveal he becomes the greatest of villains.

I did not include Sauron because there's really no competition when he's involved. He could take them all out in seconds!

although, those blond kids with the light up eyes in Village of the Damned certainly figure up there pretty highly.

I am left with Hannibal Lecter, a villain of great humor and good taste.

the Darth Vader scene in Revenge of the Sith where he falls to his knees and yells, 'Nooooooooooooo'. I wanted to throw something at the screen when I saw that. I have trouble watching that scene to this day. More often than not, I skip it. I like the animated Clone Wars, and am hoping that the Vader fans get treated to a similar series, one that takes place after Sith and a New Hope. A Vader-centric series where he wipes out Jedi on a regular basis. In the video game the Force Unleashed, there is a storyline that involved some of Vader's adventures.

All of those are real bad ,but he the most evil. To me Darth Vader is an overated villion he becomes good at the end of 6 and was good 1 and 2. He bad but he is overated. Voldmart, Saroun and other never been good.

Is this a favourite villain topic or a favourite fantasy villain topic as the title says? Not that it really matters. Off the list I'd go with Darth Vader, but my favourite villain has always been Quellor
When it comes to appearance, you don't get more badass than that! And I'd take the Nazgûl over Sauron any day. On horseback. Not on those flying beasts.
